About the job:

Candidates will develop small scale software refinements to correct errors, stabilize the system, and add features to the product; conduct automated testing, manual testing, and release preparation and deployment; perform system stabilization to keep the system application running, including ensuring system processes are running, diagnosing error logs and similar activities; support system security plan (SSP) related activities; implement a revised interface in a JavaScript UI framework; design the health and status monitoring system; and implement the system process status capture mechanism, status monitoring user interface, and tabular document display.

Requirements:

  • At least two (2) years in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
  • At least two (2) years developing software in an enterprise environment.
  • At least two (2) years developing software for Windows (2000, 2003, XP, Vista), UNIX or Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) OS. At least one (1) year of this experience must have been obtained within the last two (2) years.
  • Experienced with Javascript, Flex, JSP, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), CSS, SpringMVC or equivalents for UI developers and Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Servlets or equivalents for Java developers.
  • At least one (1) year in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and shall have generated at least two (2) documents in support of a software development project.
  • Designing and developing applications that contain a user-facing view component
  • Front-end development using Angular or React
  • Web application development using Java Spring Framework
  • Familiar with MongoDB
  • Familiar with Apache Storm
  • Familiar with Agile Development
  • Clearance:  Applicants must be U.S. Citizens possessing an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.

Additional Desired Experience

  • Apache Camel, Apache Tika
  • Topic extraction and clustering
  • RabbitMQ
  • Familiar with Docker container (software)
