About the job:

CollabraSpace employees supporting the contract will provide work products and recommendations based on the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504 and Section 508), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure the Fort Meade customer is providing equal access to the tools, training, and resources to enable persons with disabilities to fully participate in the mission.


  • Seven (7) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity within the Federal Government is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Clearance:  Applicants must be U.S. Citizens possessing an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.

Our work typically includes the following:

  • Understanding of and interest in Section 504 and 508 compliance and desire to enable and enrich the work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Experience with the Information Technology listed below desired: TCP/IP; Parallel/Serial/USB Input/Output; POP/SMTP/IMAP; RDBMS/SQL/Reporting; HTML/HTTP; J2EE development/integration; Java Swing Programming (Four [4] Years); Solaris; Windows NT; MS Access; Windows 20_ (Nine [9] Years); Gnome (Three [3] Years); Windows XP (Seven [7] Years); Vista (One [1] Year); Development of Accessible Software designing, testing, evaluating, and teaching); Windows integration; UNIX; Client server computing; Intra/Internet; Database Design (5 Years)
  • Participation in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation
  • of all necessary development and operational considerations.
  • Participation in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System
  • Creation of Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Participation in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle.
  • Development of system and lower-level requirements, and an understanding of stakeholder needs and the functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness.
  • Develops system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis.
