About the job:

This position is for a System Engineer to support System Engineering and test activities to achieve the goals for each Spin. The primary role for this position is to provide Integration, Test, and Baseline Lead support for integrating, deploying, upgrading, and monitoring fielded capability. Candidates will support tactical engineering activities to accomplish sprint goals to include participating in design meetings and technical review meetings; developing technical plans to guide capability development; reporting status of capability development activities; and reporting thread spin goals and results. Candidates will be writing technical documentation. The documentation will include but not be limited to: technical management plans, requirements documents, test documents, deployment documents, and technical briefings. Candidates will liaise with customer to provide daily updates on progress of Sprint goals and coordinate the health & status and metrics monitoring of deployed systems.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of direct experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity within the Federal Government with an emphasis on collection, processing, and exploitation
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs to develop and field large-scale systems to include experience in system architecture, requirements analysis, system documentation, system evaluation, and process execution and evaluation
  • Experience in full system life cycle from concept development through testing and deployment
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Practices and Standards
  • Experience with testing performed according to System Engineering standards
  • Experience in integrating systems into a system of systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Clearance:  Applicants must be U.S. Citizens possessing an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.

Additional Desired Experience:

  • The candidate must have demonstrated ability to write system engineering documentation
  • The candidate must be results-oriented, self-motivated and an effective communicator
  • The candidate must have working experience with MS Office products including MS Project
