Local Power Lifting Contest for Law Enforcement Benefits Maryland Special Olympics

Annapolis, Md. — August 10, 2005 — CollabraSpace™, a leading provider of web-based collaboration solutions, is a sponsor of "Maryland's Strongest Cop," a contest to benefit Maryland Special Olympics (MDSO). The contest is being held on Sunday, August 14, 2005 at the Colosseum Gym in Columbia. Weigh-in for the contestants begins at 8 a.m., followed by a brief opening ceremony.

Presented jointly by the Howard County Police Department, the Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run and the Colosseum Gym, the meet features squat, bench press and dead lift competitions for both males and females representing 10 area law enforcement agencies. Maryland's Strongest Cop trophies will be awarded to the top overall male and female contestants, as well as to the top finishers in individual weight classes and events.

Spectators are welcome and will be asked to make a $5 donation to MDSO at the door. Lunch will be served, compliments of Strapazza, Pizza Hut, Subway, SOIREE Catering and the Colosseum Gym. Red Bull will also be on hand with product sampling and random prizes, and is hosting an "After Meet" party at the Phoenix Emporium in Ellicott City for participants and spectators alike.
