CollabraSpace Partners With Novell
Arnold, Md. September 3, 2002 CollabraSpace™, provider of real-time virtual workplace software, today announced its partnership with Novell, Inc, the leading provider of Net business solutions. The technology partnership capitalizes on the compatibility of CollabraSpace's CollabraSuite product with Novell eXtend, enabling developers to integrate collaborative capabilities into their portals simply by selecting collaborative tools from an intuitive palette of components.
"Novell eXtend is based on leading industry standards and provides a very flexible framework that enables our partners and customers to seamlessly integrate value-added technologies," said Bill Critch, director of alliances for Novell's Web application development division. "We are pleased to support CollabraSpace's effort to deliver integrated collaborative applications to our common customers."
Unlike most platform-specific products that force both developers and end-users to endure intense installations, CollabraSuite can operate on any platform with no client installation. Developers are therefore able to quickly and easily deploy collaborative environments without the need to write software. By using collaborative components, content is served directly by users sending chat messages, adding documents, drawing on whiteboards, and making use of other collaborative tools.
