Company to demo sneak preview of flagship product, February 14, 2002

Arnold, Md.—February 13, 2002— CollabraSpace™ and ePaxsys today announce a strategic alliance to provide a secure virtual office environment for any business with Internet access. The environment, called Rooms, is a "workplace" with the familiar structure of buildings, floors, offices and rooms controlled by the subscribing company.

Users can move virtually throughout an organization and collaborate with a network of team members from their personal computers anywhere in the world. Businesses using Rooms have access to a selection of powerful tools including:

  • Secure instant messaging and text chat
  • Presence awareness
  • User identification and profiles
  • Multiple conference rooms
  • Navigable environment
  • Audio and video conferencing
  • Document sharing and filing cabinets
  • Personal briefcases
  • Shared whiteboarding
  • Searchable archive of meetings and documents

Rooms gives users the ability to share work and communicate with a level of security and sophistication found on networks belonging to Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.

"Our product, Rooms, provides a secure virtual workplace for any company with a familiar structure that mirrors the way people truly interact," says Ray Schwemmer, president/CEO of CollabraSpace.

Under the alliance, ePaxsys will offer Rooms as a subscription service to small and medium businesses through its domestic and international marketing channels. Later versions of Rooms will integrate ePaxsys' streaming encryption technology with the CollabraSpace tools.

"With this alliance, ePaxsys can move any organization to the "prime location" in the virtual office park," says Frank Allison, ePaxsys executive vice president.

With offices in New Mexico and Colorado, ePaxsys was formed to serve the rapidly emerging demand for outsourced network management known as Managed Services Providers (MSPs). MSPs manage, maintain and monitor a client's computer infrastructure to enhance security, reduce operating costs, and improve performance.

Schwemmer will demonstrate a sneak preview of Rooms in Colorado Springs at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14 at the El Paso County Parks Administration Offices, 2002 Creek Crossing.
