A History of Firsts

We started out with the vision of making a better collaboration solution—and ended up making history.

As a true innovator and pioneer in web-based collaboration solutions, CollabraSpace, (formerly NuVenture Software Solutions) was founded in August 1998. Its initial focus was on providing workflow technology to support complex business environments.

Realizing that technology could not replace the collaborative knowledge of a company’s people, CollabraSpace’s innovators set out to create a secure forum where members of a project team could come together and exchange ideas instantly—where information can be safely and collectively stored, managed, reviewed, and shared—where technology could help an entire workforce work as one.

In January 1999, CollabraSpace launched its first version of Rooms, which allowed users to cross the geographical, cultural, and technological boundaries that had traditionally limited the scope of their interaction—and their business.

Today, CollabraSpace is the leading authority on web-based collaboration solutions for a wide variety of customers with dispersed workforces.

And our groundbreaking suite of solutions continues to grow. CollabraSpace currently develops and provides secure web-based collaboration software and platforms that include audio/video sharing, document sharing and storage, whiteboarding and instant messaging, as well as a J2EE application development platform.

Effective Border Management Through Collaboration
Since September 11, 2001, many federal agencies, including the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DOJ) have been charged with improving inter- and intradepartmental communication to counter threats to homeland security and are required to involve state and local governments and the private sector. Such joint operational planning and coordination during execution is required for effective border management, and maximizing the effectiveness of operations requires collaboration.Download PDF (94K)
